# Wolverine Stack

Wolverine Stack (also called BPC-157 + TB-500 or Wolverine blend) is a regenerative blend in the Wound Healing / Cytoprotective class. The Wolverine stack is a compounded combination of BPC-157 and TB-500 rather than a single compound, so it has no mechanism of its own beyond those of its parts.

Common shop blend of BPC-157 plus TB-500. Not a single API. Both components are unapproved and WADA-relevant (BPC-157 is S0; TB-500/Tβ4 is prohibited-class).

Also known as: BPC-157 + TB-500, Wolverine blend.

Categories: Muscle/Recovery, Experimental.

## Classification

- Type: Regenerative blend
- Mechanism class: Wound Healing / Cytoprotective
- Development stage: Research only
- Regulatory class: Research compound, not FDA-approved

## Mechanism

The Wolverine stack is a compounded combination of BPC-157 and TB-500 rather than a single compound, so it has no mechanism of its own beyond those of its parts. BPC-157 is a synthetic pentadecapeptide derived from a gastric protein, reported in animal models to promote angiogenesis through VEGFR2 and focal adhesion kinase signalling and to modulate the nitric oxide system. TB-500 supplies the actin-binding motif of thymosin beta-4, associated with cell migration and angiogenesis in preclinical work. The two are combined on the rationale that they act on complementary aspects of tissue repair, but no controlled trial has evaluated the combination, and the pharmacokinetics of co-administration are uncharacterised.

Targets: Angiogenic / actin pathways (component-dependent).

Origin: Commercial two-peptide blend.

## Evidence

- Evidence level: Insufficient Evidence
- Highest documented: Lab & animal studies
- Human trials: 0
- Controlled human trials: 0
- Preclinical sources: 1
- Latest source: 2026

No human dose is established for this compound.

Each step shows whether the sources Peptide Library has reviewed include that kind of research. Counts are reviewed sources, not every study ever published. Reviews and programme summaries that describe human use are shown as "reported", not as trials, and registered trials without published results are listed but not counted. A higher step means research has progressed further; it does not mean a compound works better or is safer. Compounds whose evidence has not been reviewed yet show "Not reviewed" instead of a guess.

### Studies

1. Lee E, Padgett B. Intra-Articular Injection of BPC 157 for Multiple Types of Knee Pain. Altern Ther Health Med. 2021;27(4):8-13. 2021. Human study (early or uncontrolled). Population: Patients with knee pain of mixed causes at one clinic (16 reached by phone; 12 received BPC-157 alone and 4 BPC-157 with thymosin beta-4). By phone survey, 3 of the 4 patients given both peptides reported significant improvement in knee pain and 1 had no relief; 11 of 12 given BPC-157 alone reported improvement. No validated outcome tools and no control group. Research on a related compound, not this one. Limitations: Studied an analog, not Wolverine Stack itself [Source](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34324435/)
2. NCT07437547 — BPC 157 for Acute Hamstring Muscle Strain Repair. Human study (early or uncontrolled). Population: Adults with acute hamstring muscle strain (planned n=120). Hamstring muscle strain repair; no results posted. Research on a related compound, not this one. Limitations: Studied an analog, not Wolverine Stack itself; Registered trial with no published results yet. [Source](https://clinicaltrials.gov/study/NCT07437547)
3. NCT07487363 — TB-500 (Thymosin Beta 4 17-23 Fragment) for Cardiovascular Biomarkers in Stable ASCVD. Human study (early or uncontrolled). Population: Adults with stable atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (planned n=80). Cardiovascular biomarkers; no results posted. Research on a related compound, not this one. Limitations: Studied an analog, not Wolverine Stack itself; Registered trial with no published results yet. [Source](https://clinicaltrials.gov/study/NCT07487363)
4. Effects of BPC-157 and TB-500 on Achilles tendon healing in rats: A histopathological and biomechanical study. Jt Dis Relat Surg. 2026. 2026. Preclinical: animal or lab study. Population: Male Sprague-Dawley rats after Achilles tendon transection and repair (n=32, 8 per group). Both peptides alone improved tendon histology, and TB-500 alone improved load to failure; the combination gave no added benefit over either alone. Limitations: Lab or animal research: not evidence of a human effect or dose. [Source](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/42542926/)

## Frequently asked questions

### What is Wolverine Stack?

Common shop blend of BPC-157 plus TB-500. Not a single API. Both components are unapproved and WADA-relevant (BPC-157 is S0; TB-500/Tβ4 is prohibited-class).

### How does Wolverine Stack work?

The Wolverine stack is a compounded combination of BPC-157 and TB-500 rather than a single compound, so it has no mechanism of its own beyond those of its parts. BPC-157 is a synthetic pentadecapeptide derived from a gastric protein, reported in animal models to promote angiogenesis through VEGFR2 and focal adhesion kinase signalling and to modulate the nitric oxide system.

### Is Wolverine Stack FDA approved?

No. Wolverine Stack is not approved by the FDA for any indication and is categorised as research-only. It has not been reviewed for safety or efficacy as a medicine, and published research should be read as investigation rather than established use.

### Is Wolverine Stack banned in sport?

Wolverine Stack is recorded here as prohibited in sport. Athletes subject to anti-doping rules should check the current WADA Prohibited List directly, since it is revised annually and classifications change.

### What peptides are similar to Wolverine Stack?

Compounds most often compared with Wolverine Stack include BPC-157, TB-500 (Thymosin Beta-4 fragment), KPV and Pentadeca Arginate. They are grouped by shared mechanism or research area rather than by equivalence, and their regulatory status and evidence base differ.
