# Blend Vial Math: Each Peptide in One Volume

In a blend vial all components dissolve in the same liquid, so any volume contains every component in the vial’s own proportions. Work out each component’s concentration (its amount ÷ the liquid), then multiply by the volume.

## One liquid, fixed proportions

`each component per mL = component amount ÷ liquid added`

`each component in a volume = volume × component amount ÷ liquid added`

The ratio between components never changes after mixing. A 2:1 vial gives a 2:1 volume, whatever size it is.

## Example: an equal two-component blend

5 mg + 5 mg in 2 mL: each component is 2.5 mg/mL. 10 units (0.1 mL) holds 250 mcg of each, 500 mcg combined.

## Example: an uneven blend

| Volume | A | B | Combined |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| 10 units (0.1 mL) | 333.3 mcg | 166.7 mcg | 500 mcg |
| 20 units (0.2 mL) | 666.7 mcg | 333.3 mcg | 1,000 mcg |
| 30 units (0.3 mL) | 1,000 mcg | 500 mcg | 1,500 mcg |

## Working from one component

To find the volume for a target of one component, use that component alone: volume = target × liquid ÷ that component’s amount. The others come along in proportion. The [blend calculator](https://bestpeptidecalculator.app/blend-calculator) shows them all at once.

## Mixed units

mg and mcg components add up exactly. A component in IU only joins totals with its IU factor; without one, it is shown on its own.

## Frequently asked questions

### Can I get more of one component without the other from a blend?

No. Every volume carries the vial’s fixed ratio.

### How do I calculate a three-component blend?

The same way: each component’s amount ÷ the liquid gives its concentration. The calculator handles up to eight components.
